Porch Light Hospitality presents, The Melvin- a modern, contemporary ranch-style guest suite on a family-owned homestead in the heart of Fredericksburg wine country.

Surrounded by wineries and a short 15-minute drive to Fredericksburg Main Street, The Melvin is one of four unique and private guesthouses that make up “Behrends Family Homestead,” and is a fully renovated former vegetable stand that provides a private getaway with easy access to surrounding wineries.

The Space:

Bedroom/Living Area: Studio-style, King sized bed with high-end linens, gas fireplace, reading chairs, dining nook, TV with Roku.

Kitchenette: minifridge, microwave, coffee-maker with complimentary local grounds, dishware.

Bathroom: Walk-in shower, double vanity, bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, robes, hair dryer, iron/board).

Outdoor Area: Private courtyard with hot tub, fire pit (firelog provided), lounge seating, bistro table, TV with Roku.

* This suite shares a wall with another suite, but is private and no amenities are shared with other property guests. *

-Check in at 4 PM, Check out at 11 AM (early check in available for a fee on request)

-Complimentary Wifi access

-No pets

-No smoking in unit

*Disclaimer* The Melvin is located in close proximity to Hwy 290 and does present some noise issues when inside the unit. Great efforts have been taken to mitigate the noise; however, some light sleepers might not find this their best option. A sound machine and floor fan has been provided. This guesthouse has an external monitoring system, solely used to survey the exterior of the property.
