Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and a short 5 minute drive to Main Street, The Hideaway is the perfect place to rest, relax and enjoy all that the Hill Country has to offer. One of five unique and private guesthouses that make up “The Gathering Guesthouses,” the Hideaway exemplifies its name perfectly, tucked away at the edge of the property facing an open field.

The Space:

Bedroom: King sized bed with high-end linens, minimal sleek decor, TV with Roku, abundance of natural light.

Bathroom: Wet room style walk-in shower and jetted tub, separate water closet, double concrete countertop vanity, bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, robes, hair dryer, iron/board).

Kitchenette: Minifridge, microwave, coffee-maker with complimentary local grounds, dishware and bistro table seating.

Living Area: Open concept with sofa, reading chair, double-sided gas fireplace, TV with Roku.

Outdoor Area: Private courtyard with hot tub and outdoor shower, double-sided gas fireplace, fire pit (firelog provided), lounge seating and bistro table, TV with Roku.

* This guesthouse is completely private, no amenities are shared with other property guests.*

39th Wedding Anniversary

It was my husband and I's 39th wedding anniversay. We stayed in the "Hideaway". When we arrived the lights were low and our cabin was warm and cozy and welcoming. Everything was clean and nice. It felt like we were secluded but yet we were close to town. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back!

The Hideaway

Couples Getaway

My husband and I stayed in the hideaway for a quick weekend trip. It was the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Location was great, it was close enough to get to downtown easily. We loved everything about the hideaway. The hot tub was a huge plus. They even had a cute Christmas tree set up in our room. We will be returning on our next trip to Fredericksburg.

Truly a Hideaway

We stayed at the hideaway for a couple nights after our wedding. We have family in Fredericksburg, but even they did not know where to find us! This was the perfect place for us to enjoy relaxing with each other after a busy wedding. Modern yet rustic furniture with a gorgeous bath and shower, and plenty of room for a young couple. We especially enjoyed the back patio and hot tub, which was also completely private!

Awesome retreat!

The hideaway was fantastic! I spent a night solo there, away from the city noise and lights and it was so relaxing! The space was sparkling clean and well appointed. The gas fireplace, hot tub and cozy furnishings made it a perfect spot for a rainy night in of reading, hot tubbing and apple cider sipping. Also I really appreciated how quiet it was. All I could hear from rain drops and crickets. I look forward to coming back and enjoying the hideaway again!

Another wonderful Anniversary!!!

This was our second stay at the Gathering and just as amazing as our first! This year we stayed in a different property that was just as amazing as the first. The beautiful thing about the Gathering is that which ever property you stay in they are all executed to such high standards with their own individual personalities. When you find the Gathering, I can assure you, you will never go anywhere else. The location is perfect, just a mile or so from town, yet you feel surrounded by tranquility and beauty. Brenda, the property Manager is delightful and so friendly and helpful - she really goes the extra mile. I had the pleasure of meeting her and the wonderful owners in person. Can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you for creating this slice of paradise.
